Black America Should Care More About Haiti

The island of Haiti had a bittersweet last week. The sweet part of the week began on the evening of Oct. 3, when U.S. District Judge Edward Chen blocked the Trump Administration’s efforts to end Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and hundreds of thousands of other immigrants from countries whose residents are people of color. The U.S. government grants TPS to people from countries where there are safety and economic concerns. Haitians received TPS after the devastating 2010 earthquake that killed 300,000 people. CARICOM Ready To Provide Assistance To Earthquake Ravaged Haiti

Going back to bank transfer payment method will help of reducing government expense and facilitate financial transactions. The European Union (EU), ready to provide assistance to the victims of the earthquake of October, 6, 2018.

In a statement, EU officials have made known that assistance will be granted according to the needs that will be identified and required by the Haitian Civil Protection Directorate. The first edition of the Gede Festival, will take place from October 25 to November 3, 2018 in Haiti.
