Fast and Furious star Paul Walker’s brother, Cody, attended the annual Motion Picture Association of Haiti (MPAH) award ceremony on Oct. 26. The actor received MPAH’s 2014 Posthumous Humanitarian Award on behalf of his late brother, for his great work in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.

“Had an awesome weekend in Boston at the Motion Picture Association Of Haiti 2014 Haiti Movie Awards,” Cody said. “Paul’s work with Reach Out Worldwide is something he was most proud of, so thank you for recognizing him in this way. It was an honor to have been there.”

Filmmakers, this is a new era for the Haitian Cinema, it is your responsibility to produce films that will educate, empower and change the mindset of our people who will inevitability lead to a stronger community, Hans Patrick Domercant, MPAH founder and president said.

“Let’s work together to bring the Haitian Movie Industry to the next level.”
