PORT-AU-PRINCE—The rise in acts of violence in the Haitian capital is worsening the food situation for several hundred thousand Haitians. The latest study from the National Coordination of Food Security (CNSA), published on March 22, confirms this trend. According to the study, more than 240,000 more Haitians have fallen into the food emergency phase. This brings the number of Haitians to 1.64 million and 4.97 million in food insecurity phases 3 and 4, respectively.
