PORT-AU-PRINCE —A Haitian citizen received a 60-month prison sentence for smuggling at least 24 firearms and hundreds of ammunitions shipped from Florida to Haiti and for money laundering, announced the United.States. Department of Justice on February 28. Jocelyn Dor's case is connected to the firearms trafficking case involving the “400 Mawozo” gang operating in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti.
Dor, 31, is the first person convicted in this case. U.S. District Court Judge John D. Bates ordered him to serve three years of supervised release in addition to the prison sentence.
