Authorities are investigating after finding Walter Nyankieya Nyamato, Kenya's Chief Inspector of Police, dead in a Washington, D.C. hotel room while in town for meetings between American, Kenyan and Haitian delegations about deploying the multinational mission to Haiti.
Nyamato, 39, was part of the Kenyan group attending a three-day meeting to deploy the Multinational Security and Support (MSS) Mission against gangs in Haiti. On Thursday, Nyamato’s family was mourning his sudden death, stating that he had no illness or disease before leaving Kenya.
