Facing limitations, Haitian-American politicians struggle for influence in Haiti crises

As a bloc, the Haitian-American officials’ responses to the crises have not resulted in the policy outcomes they seek as a group, namely enhanced aid accountability, a halt in deportations to Haiti and discontinuing Title 42, the immigration rule that advocates have said uses COVID-19 as a pretext to prevent people from accessing the asylum process.
