Jean-Pierre’s 14-year-old daughter caught the Lasirèn, or The Mermaid lwa, in class at National Mixed School of Bel Air in Cap-Haitien last year. Jean-Pierre’s daughter crawled inside the classroom and asked for water while she was possessed.
