PORT-AU-PRINCE—The Kenyan assessment delegation left Haiti Wednesday after completing its initial assessment of the violence-plagued country, assuring the Haitian government and police that the proposed multinational force will come to help.

"The High Command of the Police is delighted that the Haitian Police is present at all phases of the preparation of the mission," reads a note of Ministry of Communication published on Wednesday.
