The fall of Haiti’s Violette Athletic Club to Mexico’s Club León 5-0 in the Concacaf Champions League Tuesday has left disappointed fans bemoaning the lack of opportunities for the Haitians to get sufficient play.

VAC’s 5-0 loss during the first leg of the quarter-finals is the most decisive defeat in the Champions League so far this season. It sent many Haitians to social media to express their pain, with some echoing the general view that it’s highly unlikely Violette will score five goals in the second leg.
