PORT-AU-PRINCE — A special mission of  Caribbean Community (CARICOM) officials, who have said they prefer a diplomatic solution to Haiti’s problems, was set to arrive in Haiti Feb. 27 to help address the country’s unraveling situation.

Days after the regional bloc’s 44th meeting of heads of government held in the Bahamas, the mission aimed to bring together Haitian stakeholders from various sectors, according to the CARICOM’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Amery Browne. He said sending foreign military troops to Haiti was among the topics set to be discussed during the stakeholders meeting.
