CAP-HAITIEN — Joseph Lambert, the president of the Senate, was shot near the Haitian Senate in Port-au-Prince on Sunday Jan. 8, a day before the end of his term, according to RezoNòdwès.

Lambert was transported to the hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.
