Dr. Sinal Bertrand, a former deputy of Port Salut and a medical practitioner, has been tirelessly working to provide aid to hospitals in the southern region of Haiti. The region has been hit hard by the recent earthquake, and orthopedic equipment necessary for treating injured limbs and other medical procedures are desperately needed.

Doctors from the state university hospital, HUEH, swiftly arrived in Les Cayes to provide aid and assistance to the injured, quickly improving the quality of care provided. Dr. Bertrand is urging for mobilization and general solidarity in order to provide the best possible help to the affected people.
