On a rainy, gloomy Primary Day, Brooklynite Karl Scarder walked up to the Erasmus Hall High School polling site in Flatbush, clutching campaign literature - Mathieu Eugene for borough president, Josue Pierre for District 40 council member and several others. 

Without a favorite candidate, Scarder said he planned to look things over before making a decision on his vote. His chosen candidate, ideally, will address the rising cost of living.
