Randolph town councilor Ken Clifton presented the following proclamation: 

Whereas, the month of May is an important time for members of the Haitian community as they celebrate Haitian Heritage Month which is recognized throughout the U.S. and around the world.

Whereas, the month of May also marks the anniversaries of the birth of Toussaint L’Ouverture, one of the leaders of the Haitian Revolution, and the creation of the flag of the Republic.

Whereas, the celebration also highlights Haitian culture and traditions, strengthens the self-esteem and pride of Haitian youth and recognizes Haitian achievements within the community of Randolph and around the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and America. Continue reading
