Three policing experts are headed to Haiti on May 17 to help police provide security during the elections and referendum, a government official said on Twitter Wednesday.

Mathias Pierre, minister in charge of electoral questions, said the experts are coming because President Jovenel Moïse asked the United Nations for support.

Two of the experts will focus on organized crime and the other on intelligence-gathering operations. Source
