Naomi Osaka was eliminated from the Mutua Madrid Open after losing to Karolina Muchova 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 in the round of 16 on Sunday.

“Caught an L today but beyond happy with how hard I fought and very grateful for the team I have around me,” Oska tweeted after the match.

After winning the Australian Open in February, it’s Osaka’s second straight time getting eliminated out of a competition before reaching the semi-finals. She was previously knocked out of the Miami Open’s quarter-finals in April, falling to Maria Sakkari. Yet, she remains optimistic.

“I already know something good is coming for me so I’ll keep putting my head down and working hard. Tomorrow is a new day,” Osaka said.
