Ouanaminthe F.C. striker Dave Altidor netted a 99-minute 1-0 winner versus FICA, tapping the ball in an empty net after FICA’s keeper Guerry Romondt failed to catch a cross. Underdogs Ouanaminthe crawled to third spot with this away win at Parc Saint-Victor in Cap-Haitien.  

Meanwhile, seven-time champions FICA is going through a slow start, sitting in 12th spot of the Haitian Championship after the closing series’s fourth round.

Over in Léogâne, 38-year-old striker Amy André pushed Cavaly A.S. on top of the league after scoring the lone goal of his side’s 1-0 victory over A.S. Capoise at Parc Gérard Christophe. André is the league’s third top all-time scorer, tallying 103 goals.

Elsewhere in Jeremie, Jeff Louis netted a free-kick to score his first goal after returning to A.S. Mirebalais. Louis’s goal led Mirebalais to a 1-0 win against America des Cayes home at Parc Saint-Louis. The 28-year-old midfielder played in France for 11 years before returning to Mirebalais in February.

Meanwhile in Port-au-Prince, Don Bosco F.C. climbed to second spot after powering past Racing C.H. 4-0 at Sylvio Cator Stadium. Jean Schwetzer Saint-Hubert found the net twice and Eliader Dorlus and Colombian striker Yilber Gamboa each scored once. Gamboa is the top scorer of the closing series, tallying three goals in four outings.

Last year champions Arcahaie F.C. also earned three points, slimming past F.C. Juventus des Cayes 1-0, thanks to Fabrice Latortue’s goal at Land des Gabions stadium in Les Cayes. The reigning champions won their two matches thus far and sit in fourth place.

Elsewhere at Sylvio Cator Stadium, Violette A.C. blanked Cosmopolites S.C. 2-0. Seventeen-year-old defender Fernando Cicéron and 19-year-old midfielder Maudwindo Germain were on the scoresheet.

Over in Petite-Rivière-de-Artibonite, Union Sportive Rivartibonitienne racked a surprising 1-0 victory over Baltimore S.C. home at Parc Louis Lamartinière. Esaie Fleurissaint scored the goal of the encounter in the 13th minute. Baltimore is winless in three games after finishing in second place in the opening series.

Racing F.C. des Gonaïves also remains winless, but in four games, after tying with Real Hope F.A. 0-0 home at Parc Miguel Saint-Jean. 

On an opposite note, Tempête F.C. got their first victory of the closing series, getting the best out of Triomphe A.C. 1-0 home at Parc Levelet in Saint-Marc. Tempête won through an own goal from Alphonse Francois.
