Protesters in Petit-Goâve blocked National Route #2 with barricades and burning tires to demand that kidnappers release a local leader.

Wilkens Dicette, coordinator of the Board of Directors of the Communal Section, was kidnapped Sunday. He was the latest in a slew of residents kidnapped recently. Marie Josette Malvoisin, a pharmacist, was taken hostage on Saturday. The Association of Haitian pharmacists demanded the kidnappers to set her free.

Petit-Goâve is about 46 miles east of Port-au-Prince. Source
