There are just 10 games remaining in LaLiga Santander, which means that current leaders Atletico Madrid are 10 games away from being crowned as champions.

Yet, with Barcelona and Real Madrid four and six points behind respectively, Los Colchoneros will need to be at their best in order to stay in front of Spain’s two most successful clubs.

Given that Atletico suffered a bit of a dip in the weeks leading up to this current international break, they will want to rediscover some of the qualities that made them a force to be reckoned with in the first half of the campaign.

Diego Simeone has 11 players away on international duty, meaning that the same number have remained in Madrid, so he will be looking to put a plan in place with the players at his disposal ahead of Atletico’s trip away to Sevilla on April 4.

It was noticeable how several of Los Rojiblancos’ key players were not at peak physical fitness before the break, as evidenced in the final minutes of some matches.
