Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly slapped a €200m (£173m) price tag on their star forward Kylian Mbappe as some of Europe’s elite clubs, including Liverpool, consider making their move.
The 22-year-old French World Cup winner has been back in the headlines this week after scoring a sensational Champions League hat-trick for his side in a stunning 4-1 win against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
With Mbappe’s current contract with PSG set to expire at the end of next season his long-term future is far from certain.
And there is speculation PSG would consider letting the player go in a mega-money deal this summer in order to allow them to bring in Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi.
In order to do so it seems they would require a bid that would make it one of the most expensive transfer deals of all time.
And according to Spanish outlet Diario Sport only four clubs in world football would be able to afford him: Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Juventus.
The Reds are known to be long-term admirers of Mbappe, with manager Jurgen Klopp a huge fan of the player. Continue reading
