President Moïse to hold livestream conversation Monday at 1:00 p.m.

President Moïse will have a dialogue with the population on Monday at 1:00 p.m., he announced on his social media accounts on Sunday. It will be available on Presidence d’Haiti’s Facebook account

“It will be an opportunity for me to give my take on trending topics,” Moïse tweeted.

The most talked about topic is the argument on whether his term ends on Feb. 7 of this year or next year.

JetBlue airplane in Haiti makes emergency landing

A Fort Lauderdale bound JetBlue airplane had to make an emergency landing back to Toussaint Louverture Airport in Port-au-Prince about 15 minutes after takeoff due to an engine failure.

No deaths or injuries were reported.

It wasn’t mentioned if the flight was rescheduled. Source

10-year-old boy is kidnapped in Haiti, 2 arrested

A 10-year-old boy was kidnapped in Jeremie, a commune in the Grand’Anse Department, on Saturday, according to Radio Télévision Caraïbes.

Théodore Myderson has yet to be released. 

But two of his alleged kidnappers have already been arrested, Louis Roosevelt and Bedor Dahens. The police are looking for a third suspect, Wenley. Source
