Shortly after 1 p.m. on Jan. 19, iAero Airways flight 3563 touched down in Port-au-Prince. It landed with one fewer passenger than some anticipated the day prior.
That would-be passenger was Paul Pierrilus, a New York man who was pulled off the plane in a drama-filled flurry of late-night calls and paperwork between his lawyers, immigration enforcement and a congressional representative.
