Mauricio Pochettino lifts his first ever trophy just ELEVEN days after taking charge at PSG

Mauricio Pochettino claimed his first ever piece of silverware less than two weeks after taking over at PSG as his side beat Marseille 2-1 to win Trophee des Champions.

The former Tottenham boss only took charge of the French giants back on January 2 but finally broke his trophy curse after his side weather a late storm to claim the cup, which is the French equivalent to the Community Shield, for the eighth consecutive season.

After a month on the sidelines due to an ankle injury, Neymar struck for Les Parisiens late on from the penalty spot after a first-half opener from striker Mauro Icardi.

Icardi, who has been struggling for goals this season, found the back of the net in the first half to set Ligue 1 champions PSG on the way to a routine win against last season’s runners-up Marseille. Continue reading
