
The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) released its full calendar via social media Thursday.
The constitutional referendum will be held on Apr. 25. Campaigning will start on Jul. 6 and end on Dec. 8. The first and second round of the presidential and legislative elections will be on Sept. 19 and Nov. 21 respectively. The final results will be published on Jan. 22.
Less than an hour after the CEP released the calendar, Andre Michel, the Democratic and Popular Sector’s spokesperson announced on Twitter that they reject it. He again claimed that Jovenel Moïse’s term ends in February.
One dead as fire spreads in Port-au-Prince commune

A fire caused by a truck filled with gasoline broke out in Bon Repos, a commune in Port-au-Prince, Thursday afternoon. At least one person died.
Firefighters did not appear on the scene for some time Thursday afternoon, prompting Bon Repos residents to launch a cry of alert to the authorities. Source
One officer shot dead, three kidnapped

One police officer was shot dead and three others were kidnapped over the course of the week in Port-au-Prince.
Three men in a motorcycle shot Wilfrid Pierre after he left a bank in Delmas 3 Thursday. He died at the hospital.
Sanon Ernst Théodore and Vincent Jean Maxo were kidnapped in Cité Soleil Wednesday night. They were coming from work. Wilner Séraphin was kidnapped at Rue Pavée Sunday. The bandits haven’t released him yet.
It’s unclear if the officers were on duty or dressed in uniform at the time of the crimes. Source
