Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi could reportedly join David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami, after the 33-year-old admitted that he would “like to play in the United States”.

Messi is out of contract with Barcelona in the summer and could leave for free after handing in a transfer request in August.

A potential reunion with former boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City has been heavily rumoured but, according to Catalunya Radio, Messi wants to play alongside Luis Suarez again and the pair could join forces at Inter Miami.

Spanish outlet Cadena Ser also claims that a move to Inter Miami is on the table, with Messi planning to stay at Barcelona until 2023 before moving to America.

The report claims that Messi has already bought an apartment in the luxury Porsche Design Tower in Florida and wants his children to go to high school in the States.
