The International Organization of Migration, with the support of the UnitedU.S. States Embassy in Haiti, donated 12 motorcycles and four four-wheelers to Haitian frontier police (POLIFRONT).

“This donation demonstrates the willingness of the United States Embassy to continue to support POLIFRONT, which will be more active when it comes to official and unofficial crossings,” said the force’s leader Jackson Hilaire.

The gift is the fourth batch of equipment, funded by either Canada or the United States, that IOM has donated to the border police to support crossings to and from the Dominican Republic. Source
