Léon Charles, the Haitian National Police’s returning general director, said during a press conference Tuesday that kidnappings, rapes and murders in the country must end.
“The place for all bandits is behind bars,” Charles said.
Charles was appointed as PNH’s leader on Monday. He previously led the police force from 2004 to 2005, a period that saw numerous killings, including the murder of about 50 police officers. Source
