At least one thousand people took to the streets of Cap-Haitien on Tuesday to denounce Haiti’s current government.
Many of the protesters were dressed in black and red, the color of the Pitit Dessalines political party, as they called for the government’s ouster. Party leader Jean-Charles Moïse led the procession through popular neighborhoods in Cap-Haitien like Samaria, downtown Cap-Haitien and ended at Vertières.
