Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe inaugurated 12 elementary schools in the Central and Artibonite regions on Tuesday.

Mitsuki Mizuno, Japan’s ambassador to Haiti, and other officials attended the inauguration ceremony at Guy Malary National School in Hinche, a commune in the Central department.

Japan had contributed financially to the construction of the schools. Jouthe thanked Japan for its generosity and said the new schools are part of President Jovenel Moïse’s plan to build 15,000 classes in Haiti. Source
