Jean Emmanuel Casséus was appointed as the new general director of Direction Générale des Impôts (DGI), the government body that collects and oversees taxes.
Casséus promised to be transparent in managing DGI during his appointment ceremony Thursday. Michel Patrick Boisvert, Haiti’s minister of economy and finances, warned Casséus of challenges awaiting him in the role.
Casséus replaces Miradin Morlan, who headed DGI for six years. Source
