PSG vs Manchester United Memories of 2018/19 Red Devils comeback
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United meet again in the Champions League. Tuesday night’s encounter in Paris is the first time the two sides have played together since the 2018/19 last 16 tie.
On that occasion, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men came out on top, pulling off a remarkable comeback at the Parc des Princes, completed by Marcus Rashford’s late penalty. It was the first time any team had come back from a 2-0 defeat at home in the first leg of a knockout tie.
However, after that Rashford penalty, both teams went on diverging courses. United were knocked out in the last eight by Barcelona and ultimately failed to qualify for the 2019/20 Champions League.
With the Red Devils in the Europa League – reaching the semi-finals before being dumped out by Sevilla – PSG went on an historic run in the Champions League. Continue reading
