Michel-Ange François, a police officer, was shot dead in a nightclub in Pétion-Ville on Sunday.

Michel-Ange François, a police officer, was shot several times in a nightclub in Pétion-Ville by three individuals around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday. She died at the scene.

The bandits took off with her gun after the shooting. An investigation is underway, police said. The shooters have not been arrested.

François is a former Association Sportive Tigresses player, one of the most prominent women’s soccer clubs in Haiti. Source
