Pierre François Sildor, president of Haiti’s senate, handed over reports about the use of Petro Caribe funds to Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe during a work session on Tuesday.

Six of the country’s 10 senators were present.

The Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation produced the reports at the request of the Senate because of accusations that the funds were misused.

“There’s no doubt anymore that there was an overbidding in the use of these billions of dollars,” Senator Pierre Paul Patrice Dumont said. Source
