Helph Monod Honorat, the new Ambassador of Haiti to Japan, presented his credential letters to Japanese Emperor Kōtaishi Naruhito Shinnō on Wednesday.
“I believe this part of the world, particularly Japan and South Korea, is a region of opportunity for Haiti,” Honorat said.
However, Honorat added, Asia is among the most neglected by Haitian diplomacy, perhaps because of the long distance.
“I promise to work to strengthen and develop the mutually beneficial relations that already exist in Haiti and Japan,” Honorat said. Source
