Haiti’s President Jovenel Moïse will meet with members from opposition groups in a Security Council meeting, said Ambassador Kelly Craft, the United States Representative to the United Nations.
The names of the opposition groups were not mentioned in the press. The meeting was postponed due to Moïse’s father’s death this week. It will take place in four or five days, Craft said.
The Haitian people deserve peace, prosperity, stability, which is possible only through a government and a parliament that responds to the aspirations of the residents, Craft said.
She also said that holding elections in 2021 is necessary. Source
