Organizers of Haiti’s annual judicial reopening ceremony on Monday prohibited scores of attorneys from joining because the attorneys had marched in protests to denounce Monferrier Dorval’s murder earlier that day, according to media reports.
Dorval, who was the head of the Port-au-Prince bar, was assassinated on Aug. 28 in his home hours after he said on Radio MAgik9 the constitution needed changes.
“The country isn’t directed nor administered,” the attorneys chanted as they marched. Source
