The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) tweeted that it will help 30,000 informal enterprises in Haiti grow and create more jobs. It plans to support their efforts with a $12 million project called Attain, the agency said on Sunday.

“Haitian businesses drive long-term economic growth,” USAID Haiti wrote in a series of tweets. “USAID is proud to create opportunities for informal small businesses that generate more jobs and increase incomes to support Haitian families and build strong communities.”

USAID did not say when the project will launch or provide the criteria for participation.
