Dominicans at Valverde protested to ask for illegal Haitians to get driven out.

Dominicans took to the streets of a DR province, Valverde, to demand the expulsion of Haitians living there illegally after two were accused in a murder on Sunday.

The two Haitians allegedly killed Gómez Gil, 61, on Sept.16.  Gil was a banana and avocado producer. One suspect reportedly fled after his murder.

The protesters said illegal Haitians, as the accused reportedly are, cause the majority of violence that occurs at Valverde.

“They even fight because someone owes them a peso or an egg, when they play gambling games or dominos,” Renso Pujols said, a protest spokesperson. “Their crimes remain unpunished most of the time because they flee to unknown destinations.” Source
