
The United States Embassy urged Haitians to form a new provisional electoral council or deal with potential consequences in a series of tweets on Wednesday.
“Haiti needs do its job and form a new CEP with members who have a reputation of integrity, honesty and competence so they can organize a free and fair electoral process. There are consequences for those standing in the way,” the U.S. Embassy in Haiti tweeted.
The U.S. Embassy’s tweets left scores of Haitians online furious.
