
The Haitian National Police (PNH) have arrested Vilpique Dunès as part of the Monferrier Dorval murder investigation. Ducarmel Gabriel, the government’s commissioner, made the announcement during a press conference Sept. 11 in Pétion-Ville, Port-au-Prince.
The police found a National Palace badge on Dunès, Gabriel said. However, officials have not confirmed Dunès’s occupation.
“Even if he’s working in heaven, we’re arresting him,” Gabriel said. “There’s no tolerance in this investigation.”
Police previously arrested three suspects in Dorval’s murder earlier this month, one of whom had Dorval’s phone. Dorval, who was head of the Port-au-Prince bar, was shot dead inside his home Aug. 28, hours after a radio interview. Continue reading
