In a tweet, the famed Hotel Oloffson inadvertently led to rumors that it had closed permanently.
On Sept. 4, the hotel wrote on its official account, “The Hotel Oloffson is officially closed but we always keep a small staff on hand so if you’re hungry, thirsty or need a home away from home give us a call and we’ll open the gate for you.”
Many readers took the message to mean the hotel was shuttered permanently and they flooded the post with comments expressing grief about the closure. When The Haitian Times called to confirm, Oloffson’s management clarified that it isn’t closed, only running at low capacity because of the novel coronavirus.
Que buen artículo. Me encantó todala cantidad de información que das. Se agradece.
