The United States has donated 37 new ventilators to Haiti in the battle against the novel coronavirus, Haiti health officials said.

Seven hospitals will receive the ventilators, which arrived last week. The names of the hospitals were not mentioned.

Rudy Mentor, a Ministry of Public Health of the Population representative, and USAID Haiti’s country director Chris Cushing met on Saturday to look over the shipment at arrival and to discuss further steps. Continue reading
