Real Madrid made major progress in their operation exit plans for the summer on Friday.
Three players edged closer to the exit doors at Valdebebas – Brahim Diaz on loan to AC Milan, James Rodriguez to Everton and Oscar Rodriguez to Sevilla on permanent deals.
There was also an agreement with Benfica to loan Mariano Diaz out for the season, although the player hasn’t given the green light to that move yet.
Those transfers come after the ones which saw Achraf Hakimi move to Inter for 40 million euros plus five million in add-ons and Javi Sanchez join Real Valladolid for 3.5 million euros.
These deals will bring in a total of 83.5 million euros to the Real Madrid coffers, which is a considerable sum in the current climate.
Getting players like James off the wage bill is also a positive for the club’s finances in the long run. Continue reading
