The first quarter-final of the Champions League takes place tonight as Atalanta face Paris Saint-Germain.

Both teams have a host of absences to contend with—and PSG manager Thomas Tuchel also broke a bone in his foot at the weekend, but will still be present for the game.

The Serie A outfit beat Valencia in the last round to reach this point, while the French Ligue 1 side dispatched of Borussia Dortmund.

From this point onward in the competition all games are held in Portugal.

Atalanta will be without key forward Josip Ilicic in all likelihood, due to personal matters. They are also missing goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini due to a knee ligament tear

PSG have a host of injuries to contend with, the biggest two of which are to Kylian Mbappe (ankle) and Marco Verratti (calf). Defenders Layvin Kurzawa and Thilo Kehrer are also sidelined with a thigh strain and a bone fracture respectively. Angel Di Maria, meanwhile, is suspended.

Predicted line-ups

Atalanta: Sportiello; Toloi, Caldara, Djimsiti; Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler, Gosens; Malinovskiy, Gomez; Zapata.

PSG: Navas; Dagba, Silva, Kimpembe, Bernat; Marquinhos, Gueye, Paredes; Sarabia, Icardi, Neymar.

Prediction

PSG would be far more comfortable if Mbappe and Marco Verratti in particular were available, but the two big misses at either end of the pitch for Atalanta could prove key.
