President Jovenel Moise inaugurated a new airport on Friday in the city of Jérémie, in the department of Grand’Anse.
The runway, which measures 1,200 meters, was built in four months. It is of international standard, according to Moïse.
“Accompanied by the First Lady and the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications, this Friday, July 10, 2020, I am inaugurating the new Jérémie aerodrome in Grand’Anse, with a new runway built according to standards international ”, Moise saidon his Twitter account.
Moïse underlined that the construction works of the terminal did not cost the State a million whereas he says to have seen a contract going back several years for the construction of this same terminal for 7, $ 5 million.
Everything was done with state equipment and materials as part of the change caravan, said Minister of Public Works Nader Joaséus.
