Leicester City are planning a £31million swoop for Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic as they search for a new striker partner for Jamie Vardy.
Jovic was viewed as a huge talent upon his arrival at the Bernabeu for a £54million move to Eintracht Frankfurt after an impressive campaign with the club.
However, after a torrid time since joining under in his first season, the club are willing to listen to offers for the 22-year-old.
Madrid were initially hoping to loan out the Serbian international, however, due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic they are willing to get a cut price for Jovic.
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers addressed the interest in the striker, as according to , he ‘believes a change of scene could help rediscover his goalscoring form.’
The Foxes have even approached the striker’s agent, as Arsenal also step up their interest in Jovic, in order to enquire about his interest in departing from the LaLiga giants.
Leicester have previously scouted and shown interest in Jovic, but were unable to compete with Madrid in the market after his impressive season in Germany. Continue reading
