Former Auxiliary Police Lieutenant Pierre Moïse died from COVID-19 on March 28, 2020, at 69 years old at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.

Moïse was from the northern part of Haiti in St. Raphaël. He, notably, played part in the foundation of Haitian band, Channel 10, during the 1970s and played the drums for Lakol as well. The former drummer was a man with a great sense of style — often wore sunglasses. Moïse was also known as someone who never ran out of jokes.

He moved to the United States during the late 70s. Moïse joined the New York Police Department in 1994 and later became an Auxiliary Police Lieutenant. He is survived by his two sons, Perly and Marc-Kensen and daughter, Yashelime.
