“I am making a plea for the reopening of the airport.The Haitian diaspora must be able to return to the fold ” said , Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe during a visit at Toussaint Louverture International Airport. Jouthe was accompanied, among others, by the Minister of Public Works Transport and Communications and the director general of the National Airport Authority, Irving Méhu.
The head of government specifies that this visit is part of the supervision of the work in progress with a view to reopening the airport. No date has been set for the reopening. Continue reading.
The airport must close to international travel. It must be for inter-Caribbean flights only. Travelers will transit from the Dominican Republic to Port-au-Prince’s airport.
