Monza president Silvio Berlusconi is targeting a sensational double swoop for AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahmiovic and retired Brazilian playmaker Kaka.
Berlusconi’s Monza have returned to Serie B after almost 20 years away following the curtailment of the Serie C 2019-20 season.
And after building up the club, owner Berlusconi alongside chairman Adriano Galliani have Serie A in their sights and are eyeing moves for both Ibrahimovic and Kaka.
‘I joyfully experienced the news of the promotion to Serie B,’ president Berlusconi told .
‘The biggest applause is for Adriano Galliani. But it’s also my merit, I’ve always talked to the players, doing what I was doing at Milan with the results we achieved.
‘Ibrahimovic and Kaka have been transfer targets for us and, for non-footballing reasons, we couldn’t. But you never know. I say it for Ibrahimovic and also for Kaka – two extraordinary players to which I am very attached.’ Continue reading
