Haiti’s Emmanuel Cantave, 59, Dies from Coronavirus

Emmanuel Cantave, the Secretary of State for Social Affairs attached to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST) died on Tuesday morning June 9, from a Covid-19 infection. 

He is the first member of the current government to die from Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic. He was treated at the care center for patients with covid-19 located in Delmas 2. Another member of the government, the Secretary of State for Communication, Eddy Jackson Alexis, announced the news on Twitter .He also announced more details at a conference during the day. This leader of the Ansanm Nou Fòparty was named among the nine secretaries of state that Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe had chosen to complete his government last March. He was an influential member of the FanmiLavalas party before Jean Bertrand Aristide’s departure from power in 2004. Continue reading.

    I am sorry about this numerous loss. My condolences to his families. However, I would like to have a blueprint of what he had done from the time he first sat on that chair or accomplished for Haiti to be better. Haiti’s future is uncertain at this point with all those crooks.
    No offense the country deserves people who put it first.
